About Gary Shipman

Gary Shipman is lifetime resident of the state of Florida. Mr. Shipman obtained his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Finance and a minor in chemistry from Florida State University in 1980 and a Juris Doctorate with high honors from Florida State College of Law in 1986. He has been engaged in the private practice of law in civil litigation since graduating from law school. Mr. Shipman has extensive litigation experience, having successfully tried cases in the Circuit Court in 17 Florida counties as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Florida, in Pensacola, Panama City and Tallahassee. Over the course of his career, Mr. Shipman has appeared and represented clients in The Circuit Courts in 40 of Florida’s 67 counties, in The Federal District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, and on a pro hac vice basis in the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Georgia and the District of Columbia. He has also appeared on behalf of clients, pro hac vice, in the Supreme Court of New York, Manhattan Division and the Superior Court of Arapahoe County, Colorado. Mr. Shipman has also represented clients and tried cases in Florida Administrative Law Court, and has filed briefs and presented oral arguments in the First, Second and Fifth District Courts of Appeal, The Supreme Court of Florida and the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Shipman currently serves on the Board of Directors of Regional Utilities and the Walton County Small Business Association. Mr. Shipman and his wife reside in South Walton County.
